HERPES (FACE)

Good news

Although unpleasant, not dangerous. You have seen cold sores many times. Herpes can be suppressed by medications and helped by ointments.

Bad news (not too bad)

Herpes on the face stays forever – it cannot be treated completely.

How does it look if you got it

Herpes of the face looks like a few blisters close together on the lips or nose or anywhere on the face. Blisters can be itchy or painful. In a few days, blisters become pussy and then red. Then all disappear.

What to do

See your GP or a pharmacist. They know what to do. Easy.

What NOT to do

Do not kiss anyone or share cups, cigarettes or bongs with others.

Things to watch out for

Nothing much, really.

One can get some other infections via kissing. The chances are low though. The best thing is to speak to a doctor or a nurse.
